Board of Management Meeting 19th November, 2024

  • Schools Photovoltaic Programme - being investigated.

  • Bí Cineálta - updated anti bullying procedures training underway - new procedures from September 2025

  • BoM investigating feasibility of before and after school supervision by Sherpa Kids.

  • Admissions Notice and Policy for 2025 admissions ratified. Parish wide agreed dates.

  • Thanks to staff for organising extra non curricular events in the school.

  • Lotto providing much needed funds - thanks all participants.

  • New math's equipment purchased by Parents' Assoc. - with thanks.

  • Agree to Agree project training underway for a team of staff and parents. 

  • Hot Meals for Schools - still awaiting grant to proceed from Dept. of Social Protection

  • Thanks to Tidy Towns for x3 native apples trees.

  • Thanks to Clann na nGael for donation to GAA equipment for boys and girls football teams.

  • Application to Dept. of Educ. and Skills for Emergency Funding imminent.

  • SEAI energy audit conducted in school.

  • Child Safeguarding Annual Review conducted.

  • Anti Bullying Annual Review conducted.

  • Bí Cineálta Procedures to Prevent and Address Bullying Behaviour for Primary and Post-Primary Schools - new publication discussed.

  • Hot lunches - school still awaiting approval from the Dept. of Social Protection.

  • Front facade of school painted during summer closure.

  • Increase in pupil population discussed -  possible future increase in population from local housing development discussed.

  • Primary maths curriculum - new resources in place for each class.

  • Need to increase participants in School Lotto.

  • New Additional Education model of support in place. 

  • Google Workspace for Education in operation for staff. Further staff training planned. 

  • Pupil Council elections in October.

  • Policies ratified - Fire Safety and Evacuation, Administration of Medicines, Intimate Care
